From corner to corner is 84" and the posts themselves are 2.5 inches so you are looking at 79" to work with. A standard queen mattress is 60" wide and 80" long. The width should work on most frames, but definitely measure first. The under bed clearance is 52.5" so you'll need to take that height into consideration also. We hope that helps!
